HEALTH

The health of any people is a complex outcome of economic, environmental, behavioral, and even genetic factors. In nearly all surveys of happiness, good health ranks among individuals' top preferences. Without good health, economic achievements are hollow.

This category offers a few key measures of healthcare access for the Yakama Nation reservation population via data that come from annual surveys by the U.S. Census. Consequently, the indicators are estimates. Due to Census rules, the estimates appear as averages or medians calculated each year that include the prior four years. Estimates for Yakima County serve as a benchmark.

A full definition of each indicator can be found in the More Information section. The data are available in a spreadsheet via the Download Data tab.
